‘Love Island USA’ Renewed for Season 9 With Ariana Madix Returning as Host
Peacock has officially renewed “Love Island USA” for Season 9, with Emmy-nominated Ariana Madix returning as host when the hit reality dating series heads back to Fiji in summer 2027.
The renewal follows a record-breaking eighth season that further cemented “Love Island USA” as one of Peacock’s biggest reality franchises. According to Peacock, Season 8 has generated more than 19 billion minutes viewed since its June 2 premiere and ranked as the No. 1 streaming title of summer 2026 as of mid-July.
Madix, who took over hosting duties beginning with Season 6, will once again welcome a new group of singles into the Villa as they navigate couplings, recouplings, Bombshell arrivals, Casa Amor and the unpredictable twists that have become signatures of the franchise.
Season 9 is already in motion behind the scenes, with casting underway for the 2027 season. Peacock previously confirmed that applications are open to prospective Islanders, who must be at least 18 years old and undergo the show’s application, interview and screening process.
City Media Entertainment Returns to the Casting Search
A major part of building each season begins long before the Islanders arrive in Fiji.
City Media Entertainment serves as the official casting company for “Love Island USA,” overseeing the search for the personalities who ultimately have the potential to become the show’s next Islanders and Bombshells.
Peacock’s own Season 9 casting announcement identifies City Media Casting as the company processing applications for “Love Island USA.” The casting operation includes Lead Casting Director Nasche Kerkes and Supervising Casting Director Jodi Thomas, with the team searching nationwide for singles who have the confidence, personality and authenticity to thrive inside the Villa.
City Media Entertainment also describes itself as the show’s official audition and casting company, continuing its involvement with the franchise after handling the nationwide search for previous seasons.
With casting now underway, the challenge for Season 9 will be finding another group capable of creating the relationships, friendships, rivalries and unforgettable moments that have fueled the show’s recent surge in popularity.
The “Love Island” Universe Continues to Grow
The Season 9 renewal is part of a broader expansion of the franchise at Peacock.
Along with another season of “Love Island USA,” the streamer has confirmed that “Love Island Games” will return for Season 3 in fall 2027, with Madix also returning to host. “Love Island: Beyond the Villa” has also been renewed for a third season, giving fans another opportunity to follow Islanders beyond their time on the flagship series.
Before attention fully turns to Season 9, however, there is still unfinished business from the Villa.
The “Love Island USA” Season 8 Reunion premieres Monday, Aug. 31 at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT exclusively on Peacock, with Madix joined by Andy Cohen as co-host. The special will bring the Season 8 cast back together to revisit the relationships, breakups, controversies and memorable moments from the summer.
With a ninth season secured, casting already underway and Madix officially returning, Peacock is betting that the cultural momentum surrounding “Love Island USA” will carry into another summer.
And somewhere right now, the next group of Islanders may already be preparing to receive the text that sends them to Fiji.
