SPOILER ALERT: This post contains details of the Love Island USA Season 6 finale. “The most dramatic season of Love Island USA isn’t over yet,” host Ariana Madix says in the preview. “Your favorites are returning to spill it all.”

The winning couple of Love Island USA Season 6 has been crowned on Peacock, but the Islanders are not getting dumped from the island so quickly.

During the finale night, host Ariana Madix confirmed that the reality dating competition would have a reunion special set to be available on the streamer on August 19 at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.

Viewers will have the opportunity to see their favorite Islanders one last time when they all come together to relive the drama from the season.

America voted for their favorite couple and gave the win to Serena Page and Kordell Beckham. As a last test of love, the couple were given two envelopes, one containing the $100,000 cash prize and the other containing nothing. The Islander with the cash prize can keep the money for themselves or share it with their partner.

Kordell gave Serena the honor of picking first, and the envelope she picked didn’t have the cash prize. Odell Beckham Jr.’s little brother had the envelope with the cash prize and opted to split the money with Serena, each winning $50,000.

“Me and Serena have been through a whole lot,” Kordell said. “I couldn’t ask for a better experience than to be in this villa with her. It’s only right…. I’m going to split that dough.”

Leah Katen and Miguel Harichi placed second, JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez took third, and Nicole Jacky and Kendall
Washington took fourth.

One Islander who will not be at the reunion is Caine Bacon, who was dumped from the taping days before filming happened. The controversial contestant has been very vocal about his experience on the reality dating series, expressing his discontent on social media. Bacon said that he never wanted to be part of the show and was unhappy with the edit he got from his time in the villa.

Nicole Scherzinger, Liam Payne, Kelly Rowland & AJ McLean Join Forces on Netflix’s ‘Building the Band’

Four of the world’s most experienced boy band and girl group alumni are coming together to help foster the next big pop unit, with Netflix tapping Nicole Scherzinger, Liam Payne, Kelly Rowland and AJ McLean for its new music competition series, Building the Band, which begins filming this summer.

As shared exclusively with Billboard Friday (Aug. 16), the streaming service has recruited Scherzinger to be a mentor and judge alongside judges Payne and Rowland. McLean is set to host the series. Scherzinger previously served on judging panels for The X Factor, Masked Singer and The Sing-Off.

With its team of experienced boy/girl band experts on lock (which encompasses members of the Pussycat Dolls, One Direction, Destiny’s Child and Backstreet Boys), Building the Band will bring together a number of talented singers and task them with forming their own bands without ever seeing each other. Isolated in individual booths, all they’ll have to go on when selecting their bandmates is musical compatibility, connection, chemistry and merit, according to a release.
“What will happen when the bands finally meet, and looks, choreography, and style come into play?” a description reads. “With incredible performances, compelling drama, and one big goal — to find the next great music band — the stage is set for an unforgettable experience.” Additional announcements regarding guest judges and the show’s various challenges are yet to come. Production companies Remarkable Entertainment and Banijay UK are behind the project, with Cat Lawson, Alison Holloway, Katrina Morrison, Clara Elliot and Simon Crossley on board as executive producers.
“Building the Band is a brave and bold undertaking for all involved as we hand over power to the singers themselves to form their own band based on chemistry first,” Lawson said in a statement. “With looks out of the equation, can they create a deeper connection with their bandmates? With limited bands, there are difficult decisions and heart stopping moments along the way, but ultimately the outcome is truly amazing, with bands forming who in my opinion are worthy of the very biggest stage.”
